Darts tourney fails
When times get tough, go play darts.
At least that was the idea behind this past week’s dart tournament scheduled for CCC students at the Court Jester on Danforth Avenue.
But when the time came, only the tournament’s organizers bothered showing up.
This lack of attendance should not have come as a surprise though, as other CCC events scheduled by Paul Clarke and intern Kirk Hillman of the athletics department this past school year have also received little fanfare.
“The attendance has not been great.” Clarke said. “We put things out there and try to help students feel involved in their campus and we have created some excitement at times, but no one came out today.”
Despite the abysmal turnout, Clarke mentioned the Halloween, Easter and Christmas events will continue to be organized into the future, in addition to special events such as those focusing on Black History Month.
