The Athletic and Recreation Department programs fitness and recreational activities in the Progress Campus Athletics and Wellness Centre, the Ashtonbee Campus Gym, the Morningside Campus Fitness Centre and the Story Arts Centre Fitness Centre. Students using recreation facilities will be required to present a valid student card.
An important part of campus life is your participation in recreational activities. Intramural leagues and instructional programs are an excellent way to meet new friends, get in shape and provide a balance from the demands of the classroom. Instructional, intramural and special events are scheduled around timetables to maximize participation. Academic/Athletic financial awards are offered to OCAA varsity student athletes (on the active team roster) that have combined athletic excellence with a minimum 2.5 GPA. ($1000 – $2500). Contact the Athletics and Recreation department for information at 416-289-5000, ext. 2205.
